Are you interested in making changes on how you think and the choices you make?
If you answered "Yes," then these five books are great reads for you to start with. They've helped shape my outlook on life in a positive way, as well as lead me to realize that some bad things that arise are for a good reason. We may not discover the reason until later...if we do at all.
Disappointments and hardships are just apart of the journey!

Now let's get to the good stuff:
1. If Someone Says "You Complete Me" RUN! by Whoopi Goldberg - Whoopi breaks down how being single is not a bad thing. I read this at a time that I needed reminded that another person will never complete me. Another person can only be an addition to my life, not my entire life. If you need a laugh, check this book out. It's eye-opening yet witty. You'll enjoy it as much as I did.
2. The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho- Mr. Coelho writes about a boy on his journey to find his treasure that keeps recurring in his dreams. This book reminded me that giving up will never lead to success. And a major part of success is mindset. If you think you're going to fail, YOU ARE GOING TO FAIL. So always focus on winning and never on losing.
3. Manuscript Found in Accra by Paulo Coelho - Don't be confused by the title. This book is not told in the form of a story but more so in the form of answers to important questions on morality, loyalty, love and so much more. A quick read that allows you to stop and think about your life and the choices you make.
4.The Art of Happiness by Dalai Lama XIV- You don't have to be a Buddhist to find joy and wisdom from this book. The Dalai Lama XIV teaches to live a life free of worry and negativity. You'll find that his way of thinking is so simple when applied correctly. Having a positive mindset is the start to freedom of worry, regret, and all the other negative emotions you may face in life.
5.The Daily Stoic by Ryan Holiday- Every day Ryan starts a new page with a new quote from the Stoic philosophers. Then adds his own thoughts of wisdom. Making you start each day thinking outside the box and on a positive, productive note. Reminding us that every day is valuable and to treat each one as such. Adding this book to your daily routine will be beneficial to your mental wealth. The great thing about this read is when it's over on December 31st, you can just start again on January 1st.
